2-1-1 is a free, non-emergency, confidential, 3-digit phone number and service that provides easy access to housing information, and critical health and human services.

2-1-1 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with multi-lingual capabilities.

Are you eligible for Food Stamps?

Over 50% of Alameda County residents who are eligible for food assistance have not applied to receive it! 2-1-1 Resource Specialists can conduct a confidential screening over the phone to determine if you are potentially eligible to receive food assistance.

The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 has also changed some of the requirements that may have prevented many from obtaining food stamps in the past. If you previously applied for food stamps and were denied, you may now be eligible!

Eden I&R’s Food Stamp Specialist can then assist you in filling out the appropriate forms and submitting your application along with the necessary documentation. Our Food Stamp Specialist can also check the status of your application once it has been submitted.
